A daily jolt of truth, enlightenment, and clarity. Adapted from the bestselling book The Little Zen Companion, this calendar opens the mind with a koan, quote, parable, sutra, or poem on every page. Lao-tsu: "Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished." Kahlil Gibran: "I discovered the secret of the sea in meditation upon the dewdrop." Salvador Dali: "Have no fear of perfection. You'll never reach it." Eugene Ionesco: "It's not the answer that enlightens, but the question." Plus Zen thoughts from Henry David Thoreau, Dogen, Jack Kerouac, Seng-Ts'an, and Shunryu Suzuki: "Just to be alive is enough."

Yes, I started buying it four years ago and I found it inspiring . so much so that I am giving it as a present to my best friends. Life is so complex that these ancient words full of wisdom help us to read reality as it is and not as this crazy contemporary world wants us to believe

This is my 2nd year for the daily Zen calendar. It's a good mix of the standard Eastern Religion stuff, combined with a lot of Zen-like quotes from Western thinkers/writers/philosophers. Definitely enough to make you think, and some really good one-liners to keep on hand.
Highly recommended.
