I loved this calendar so much in 2011 that I purchased the 2012; no other calendar I considered measured up for me. The other reviewer perhaps did not look at the complete description, including images. This is a wall calendar, it does not claim to be an engagement calendar. As described, many of the dates have inspirational affirmations, which the other reviewer refers to as "hippie comments." Example from January 28: Today I will allow myself time to relax. The artwork is beautiful seasonal photography. If you are looking for a true engagement calendar with lots of writing space, this will not suit your needs. If you are looking for a lovely and inspirational way to journey through the year, check out the photos and read the full description, I think you will enjoy this calendar.
Thought I could do without it for 2012...,

This is my 3rd year owning either the Organic Kitchen or Year of Healthy Living calendar. I was gifted a beautiful 2012 farmer's market calendar during the holidays. It would have been great if I needed an appointment calendar as there's plenty of writing space - no notations are included, not even major US holidays.
By February, I was growing increasing annoyed with it - each time I glanced over to reference holidays, moon phases, etc., a blank box greeted me back. Thankfully, Amazon still had the Healthy Living calendar in stock, which now hangs over the other calendar. I love each month's different focus and recipes, as well as having the breadth of global holidays and moon phases detailed out and readily available.

I got this calendar as a means to try and start off this year with a positive healthy kick. However, it's not very practical. About a third of the days have some annoying hippie comment taking up the box for the day so that you can't really make day to day notes like you would on a typical calendar. That's the frustrating thing about it. Not useful as a practical wall calendar.
