This is a very good book...The author takes great pains to explain all the wines of the world...where they are grown..the type of land they are grown on ---and the connection to the local people.
This book was suggested to me by a wine affectionato--and boy !! Was she right on the money. Every single wine that I was looking for is in this book.
I cannot suggest this book enough !!
Also, it arrived ahead of time...and though used --it is in beautiful condition !

Students specializing in wine use this book as part of their core library. I just use it as a reference because I am new to wine. This is a great book. If you only buy one book on wine you should get this one. I believe it is the only one you would need. Enjoy it!

I was very pleased when my Wine Bible showed up. I was even more surprised when it showed up in hardcover form. I had a wine class at the CIA the following week being taught by Karen MacNeil, and she enjoyed seeing the hardcover version as well. She even signed it for me. And the book was like it had never been opened. Great deal for the price.
