I have reviewed the 2011 version of this calendar and not been complimentary.

Example : Tomorrow's entry, July 29. "Over eight hundred different California Chardonnays are available to the consumer." What a useless piece of information. I'm guessing the reason it appears there is either the lack of imagination of the calendar's creator, or a California wine industry association having paid for it. You be the judge.

I may be wrong about the 2012 version. It may be sensational. But don't buy it until you have flipped through a copy and checked for useless information as above, or entries that are factually suspect, as can be found in the 2011 version. My copy came in a sealed box, so be ready to ask your retailer to open a copy so you can have a good look. I wish I had.

Update February 2012 : It was selling for 93c and there were plenty of copies. I bought it again and all the same criticizms apply. Two colors, not full color as stated. Winery ads every...Read more
