Product Review

You can be sitting in the train working a puzzle but it can take you far away from the everyday. Before you know it you're at your stop or about to pass it. It's not like you were even in the train. It's something different, something removed from the ordinary." --Maki Kaji, The Japanese Times

The Nation's No. 1 Newspaper offers puzzle-smiths the ultimate book featuring a new collection of challenging conundrums.

Boasting an average of 60 word clues, each game is centered on themes such as Letters to Rome, Tax Credits, Opposites Attract, and more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Puzzles But Not the New York Times Ones, August 21, 2009

These are very good to do in the book. You can also do the new ones on a daily basis online and for free. However, the archiving of the puzzles is limited online for free. So the book provides you with a mighty dose of 200 all at once. The difference between Monday's puzzle and Friday's is not as dramatic as that seen in the New York Times. I can do all days of the week with USA Puzzles. They are challenging yet doable. They do get more difficult as the week goes on but it is very gradual. These are especially nice ones to play online. The interactive feature clues you when you make a mistake so you can catch yourself before you are too far astray. You can also turn this feature off if you want more of a challenge.

This book is exactly what you think it will be; good puzzles, moderate difficulty. Great way to relax at the beach or kill time on a plane or other lengthy travel sojourn.

This puzzle book arrived in a 5"x7" format. It is easy to hold. The print is crystal clear. I am 100% satisfied with this product, and hope to find others like this rather than the magazine-sized versions.
