Here is a different kind of Advent calendar! For each of the first 24 days of December, there is a minibook that relates a Bible story, offers a special prayer, or features a familiar Christmas song. Once you read each little book, you can then hang it on your Christmas tree by its little golden loop. Each mini-book measures about 1 1/2 inches square. Illustrated by Tony Wolf. Imprimatur.

This book has 24 (1 1/2" x 1 1/2") mini books inside. Each book has either, a Bible story, a scripture, a prayer, a song, or part of the Nativity story in it. The mini books are ornaments, so each day in December leading up to Christmas, you read one and then hang it on your tree. It was not what I expected (no reviews or detailed descriptions that I could find), but I really like it. It is a very cute idea!

The only thing that I wish was different is that the text in the books could be geared more towards younger children, but the parents can always supplement. Overall, I really like the whole idea of the thing and the way it's designed. My children really like it as well and I expect it to be a tradition in our family. We hang them on a table-top artificial tree, but this Christmas I might string them on a ribbon somewhere. I love that you can hang them any where and they seem well made.
