I had been searching for an Advent calendar that allowed us to share with our young daughter the Christmas story. Yes chocolate is fun, definitely don't deny that, but we wanted something that would help us share the reason for the season with her. I searched high and low for an Advent calendar that was candy free AND had the nativity story and found this. Love, love, LOVE it! The books are perfect for little hands to hold and the language is very kid friendly and the stories are direct and well summarized.
