You can ignore the vengeful, 1-star reviews from competing book author Jason King & friends. That guy has a hate campaign against Ed. He spreads anger and misinformation about Ed's books everywhere he goes. King's hostile energy is a pretty big turn-off to plenty of heads who've met him. The claims he makes about Buds are lies. These books can be found at coffeeshops and dispensaries all over the place as the trusted resource to help gardener's or medical patients choose the right strain for their needs. The pics are hot and the info is balanced, including information from the breeders but also grower and user experiences. It includes good and bad aspects of strains in a really colorful package. King's books are a travelogue, these books are a resource. There's room for both on any bookshelf, but if I had to pick one, I'd take the buds books. The info is just more useful.

I own all 4 volumes now and this is very well-done. While it retains most of the same graphical style and layout, it is improved upon and there are more interesting articles found within the library of cannabis. There aren't many old-timer strains here, it pushes the envelope to highlight some of the most intense and bizarre hybrids that are floating around there right now. The spectrum of breeders has been widened to allow for more unique variations and excellent photos. If you want to look at Colombian Gold or Skunk#1, then buy volume #1; if you want Jack The Ripper, Querkle, Power Diesel, Cheesus, etc., then this is the right volume for you.

This book is great, yes its a seed catalog but its very well put together, there are some very interesting facts. Like for instant I didnt know about turning, or the act of turning a female flower to a male flower for the pollen to make feminized seeds. Love the pictures, it does make you want to pack a bowl n smoke the Bud book.
