Tangram Magnet Puzzle-a-Day Calendar: 2011 Day-to-Day Calendar

This is the third year we have bought a Tangram Magnet Puzzle-a-Day Calendar. The 2009 calendar was constructed of very sturdy material: The stand/holder and the daily calendar pages were of good quality. The 2010 calendar was not made from as sturdy material: The stand/holder was similar to a "shirt gift box cardboard" and the calendar pages were of a much thinner grade paper. Then this year's calender (2011) was really a disappointment: The stand/holder is of an even cheaper quality "shirt gift box cardboard," the calendar pages similar to the cheapest copy paper quality, the magnet puzzle pieces are about 1/8" smaller than those used in the 2009 and 2010 calender, and the puzzle patterns are smaller.

We will not buy another Tangram Magnet Puzzle-a-Day Calendar as a result of the cheap quality material being used. The company accountants are increasing the company "bottom line," but the product quality has been greatly affected.

It is fun to do every morning with the children. We always do it together, letting everyone take their turn. Stimulates the brain better than coffee ;-)

My doctor had this in his office and it was a perk in going to visit him to do the daily puzzle. Then I brought my son and he did it too and enjoyed it so much that I knew it would be perfect for my home.

I bought several different kind of Tangram at the same time, but I like this one the best. Actually, I bought this is because my co-worker has one. I got addicted to doing it. I thought that it would be fun for my family so I got one for my house. My nephew loves doing them. Sometimes he'll just take the pieces and create his own picture. I especially like that you can fit the pieces on top of the picture.
