The Baltimore Catechism Four from Tan Classics is exactly what I've been looking for. As a new Catholic, I've been trying to learn the absolute teachings of the Church. Unfortunately, I found the Catechism promulgated by Pope John Paul II to be too vague and outright contradicting (do people have to be Catholic to go to heaven or not?). The Catechism of the Council of Trent was of no help either because I could not understand the writing style (yes, I'm admitting that I'm a bit on the dumb side).
This version of the Catechism is perfect if you're like me: you want to learn the true teachings of the Church in a no-nonsense, easy to read and understand format.
In this version, the topic is outlined and then it is followed by a short essay. For example, the first topic is the Lord's Prayer.
