Every week there is a picture on the left page and the week, starting with Monday and ending with Sunday, on the right page. The days of the week each have about a 1" x 5 1/2" space to write your notes for that day. The pictures are beautiful and the calendar, spiral-bound, is functional as a desk calendar. 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful: By Lewis N Clark (California) - See all my reviews This review is from: Sierra Club 2011 Engagement Calendar (Calendar) I've been buying Sierra Club engagement calendars for as long as I can remember. Even now, when I have an iPhone and other electronic calendars, I still like using the Sierra Club engagement books. I can see the week at a glance, write in appointments and events (plenty of room to make plenty of notes - about 6 inches wide and an inch high of white space for each day), and I can tuck invitations, coupons, or other reminders in the pages. The book is spiral bound and the paper has a nice quality finish. The design is simple, easy on the eyes, and the photographs are very artistic and beautiful. Perfect for someone who loves the outdoors and natural beauty. Right around October or November I always pick up the next year's calendar and I'm happy they're available ahead of time. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Sierra Club 2011 Engagement Calendar (Calendar) I've been using the Sierra Club Engagement Calendar for nearly 10 years. More than once I've found an email address or phone number buried in my calendar by just flipping through the pages fairly quickly. It's sort of a mini diary with just bullet points and the like.
I tried switching to my digital calendars (desktop, online, Android) and for several years I tried using monthly Day Timer books and found neither of those as easy to use as the Sierra Book on my desk. For example; sometime last spring I talked to an appliance guy about my stove; in just a couple of minutes I found his name and number flipping through the early part of last year's calendar. I got hooked on the format after college using the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Girl calendars, but now that I've...Read more |
