4.0 out of 5 stars Good daily planner / appt book, February 10, 2009

I have used Moleskine planners for 3 years now. I previously used the hardcover week-at-a-time weekly planner, in the small and large sizes, so they would fit in my purse, and not be too heavy. I've followed my husband's example, who tracks his work each day in the book, and upsized to the daily planner. The book is thick, but still manageable. The softcover makes it fit in my bag or purse more easily. However, if you are hard on your books, you should probably get the hardcover version. There is a ribbon to mark what day you are on, and also the phases of the moon and holidays are tracked on each page. If you bear down really hard, you might find the paper too thin. The quality is good, however. I use my Moleskine planner to track what I have done, my thoughts, etc. for each day and I find it perfect for this purpose. Recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pricey, but excellent calendar, November 27, 2010

I'm a big fan of the Moleskine line of notebooks, and for the last several years I've used the 12 Month Daily Planners as my primary calendar for all things work and play. The paper quality is exactly what you'd expect from a Moleskine, with each day having hours for appointments. It isn't until late in the year that these books really show wear and tear in the spine from daily use, and that's usually at a minimum.

Note: For 2009 I used the regular sized planner and was not very happy with it. It was just a bit too small. So for 2010 I've gone back to the large daily planner. I'm trying out the soft cover. I'm a little nervous about that. Will it be too soft? I'm not sure I'll prefer it to the hard cover. But I know that I will prefer the larger planner to the smaller one.

I first started using the Moleskine daily planner in 2007 and have already purchased one for 2009. What I love about this is that it combines the quality of the regular notebooks with remarkable functionality. For instance, I utilize it only minimally as a planner but use it primarily as a log for what I have read and seen. Because a lot of my work involves watching TV shows and movies, I like to record precisely what I have watched each day, along with the page counts of the various books I have read in. There are several blank pages at the back and I use these to record how many times I have heard an...Read more
