Lucas Entertainment: Men of Israel 2011 Wall Calendar

Though there are many calendars meant to enhance the readers' anticipation of the coming year, this one, MEN OF ISRAEL, is particularly well designed and formatted. Photographer and filmmaker Michael Lucas was born in Moscow, Russia where he was raised and attended college, graduating with a degree in law. In 1995, Michael Lucas moved to Germany, then to France, where he began modeling and appearing on several European television programs and covers of many European magazines. In 1998, Lucas opened his own production company, Lucas Entertainment, in New York City - and the rest is history. Lucas, himself a model, frequently appears in his own productions (he is the cover model on this calendar) and he travels around the world in search of perfect male figures for his publications and films. I have been to Israel more times than I can count; and, I must say that I have never seen a uncircumcised male. The calendar entitled, "Men of Israel," has several men that are not circumcised!! ONE IS NOT JEWISH WITHOUT BEING CIRCUMCISED!! I, personally, do not believe that all the men depicted in this otherwise very beautifully imaged and formated publication are Jewish. They have characteristics of what a typical Jewish male of Israel usually looks like, except in one area: not circumcised. Our mohel would have a lot of work to do in this area!! Excellent format. Beautiful pictures of the men shown to be sure. Still, I am very disappointed in that I believe that the men pictures under the title "Men of Israel," does not truly represent the men presented inside the publication.

This looked like the perfect gift for a girlfriend's birthday who loves Israel & loves men. When I got it home, however, I was dismayed to discover highly explicit nude photos of men, much more than the cover photo or advertizement implied. If that's for you, you'll love the calendar, but I was looking for something rated PG.
