Living Language: Italian: 2011 Day-to-Day Calendar

While it is admittedly only February 7th, so far, the calendar has been focused on jewelry and precious metals. I suppose that would be good if I were planning a trip to Italy for a jewelry-buying spree, but this does not seem to be a useful calendar for learning anything practical. I did not get a chance to listen to the CD as it cracked into ten pieces in my briefcase (it is very thin). Wish I had passed on this one.

I thought this would be learning a word a day but it's a word used in a phrases that really doesn't address the day to day Italian words I was looking to learn. I mean who cares if I can converse in Italian about jewelery? After a month I found just the place for it - the trash can.

I have ordered this calendar every year for many years. It keeps new Italian phrases in front of me every day all year. What a treat! Each year they come up with new phrases so there isn't a repeat. Che bella lingua!
