This calendar showcases the incomparable artwork of John James Audubon—conservationist, preeminent wildlife artist of the nineteenth century, and namesake of the Audubon Society. Every spread showcases a beautifully reproduced painting from his seminal work Birds of America. A pair of Magnolia Warblers, a Barn Swallow in its nest, Blue Jays, Red-shouldered Hawks, a pair of Great Horned Owls. The portraits are dynamic, lifelike, and perfectly displayed in the 12" x 14" oversized format. Fascinating text explores the story behind each image.

John James Audubon's Birds of America Calendar 2011
This review is from: John James Audubon's Birds of America Calendar 2011 (Calendar)
This is a really great Audubon calendar at a great price. As an added bonus there is a poster of a print that can be hung an the wall independent of the calendar. The reproductions are large and appear true to the original prints. The calendar part is clear and well laid-out. Good job on putting together another great Audubon calendar!

This calendar serves more as decorative wall art than keeping track of my schedule. This work should not be closed up in a book! The unique style of John Audobon is beyond compare.
