This calendar is, quite simply, exquisite. Not only are the photographs uniquely beautiful, the accompanying quotes are poetic and thought-provoking and the monthly suggestions for going green (ie: "loving the earth") are practical and palatable and beautifully worded. I would recommend this calendar to anyone! I'll enjoy it all year long myself and get some for friends as well. It is superbly crafted, has an inspiring theme, and apparently the profits benefit a sustainable living organization. This is a gift you can feel really good about giving... and receiving!

Because it's BEAUTIFUL! With the popularity of electronic calendars in our lives, why would you need a wall calendar? But this is like hanging up a pretty piece of art that brings the garden, the coast and rocky hillside inside your house. I love the quotes that are under the photos which seem to have a resonance that matches the photos. Also, the monthly green 'eco tips' are cleverly written (not too preachy and easy to do). The company Earth Loving Lens seem to have their heart in the right place and I am happy to part with my money to help a good green and positive cause.
BREATHTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL CALENDAR,

The 2012 edition of photographer, author, sitarist and counselor Leslie Curchack is enlightenment walking. The photos are startlingly beautiful in their profound clarity. The calendar is a page-turning crescendo of aesthetic originality, with occasional sonatic fugues, informed by a universality of perception which I have never before witnessed in a calendar. This is not just a calendar--it is an art collection for all time. This calendar informs photographic history. Leslie Curchack has, unbelievably, simultaneously both alluded to and eclipsed Ansel Adams, in color.
