Looks like author had some success with her book - but my husband and I found her daily 'inspiration' rather childishly naive. Probably great for the simplistic life of a tween or teen - but as mature adults who have had several gratitude/happiness-type journals, we were surprised at the lack of substance in this product.

Whoever wrote the product description had quite an optimistic imagination - "novel" perhaps; "life-changing approach," "engaging and effective tips," etc ... um, not so much.

Also, for $34 we certainly expected something more substantial than a small tablet of flimsy dated pages on thin yellow plastic.

We think just keeping Abraham Lincoln's wisdom in mind would be just as effective: "Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be."

Three stars for concept.
One star for implementation.
Unfortunately, only a 2-star rating.
Wish we could have rated higher.

I loved the book, and I enjoy the page-a-day calendar which reminds me of the key points in the book. The only thing I would change is to keep each page to one sentence. Some pages have entire paragraphs/long lists of bullet points in small font which is not suitable for a page-a-day format. It stresses me out to read so much in the few seconds I have in the morning while I'm getting ready! So Gretchen please make another page-a-day calendar next year, but just keep it to 10 words or less per page. Thanks!

I don't like this calendar, a friend ordered this but she was really disappointed, she wasn't happy at all. The messages aren't quite inspired.
