Hafiz 2011 Wall Calendar

The poetry of the fourteenth-century Persian Hafiz has been referred to, along with Rumi, Shakespeare and Dante, as one of the seven great literary wonders of the world. To Persians, the poems of Hafiz are not classical literature from a remote past but cherished wisdom, humor and love from a dear friend. For centuries Hafiz has been called the tongue of the invisible, and through these modern versions he continues to sing wild and beautiful love songs to this world from God.
In the Hafiz 2011 Wall Calendar, Hafiz comes alive through the work of Daniel Ladinsky, whose best-selling books include The Gift, The Subject Tonight Is Love and I Heard God Laughing. The poetry is paired with original photocollage illuminations by Saliha Green.
