It's more of a loose, messy cookbook. I bought it expecting at least 1 recipe per weekday and 1 on the weekend. What I got seems to be 1 recipe and 2 "hints and tips" per week and the date is in small lettering on the top of each sheet. Monday and Tuesday are on one sheet, Wednesday and Thursday are on another sheet and Friday Saturday and Sunday are on the recipe sheet. There are oodles of recipes on their website, why can't they use 313 on a "page a day" calendar? Moral is, if you are looking for a calendar that you can quick glance at and see the date, don't buy this calendar. If you are looking for a cookbook, buy a cookbook. If you are looking for something useless, buy this. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Food Network: 2011 Day-to-Day Calendar (Calendar) I have been looking at this calendar daily since January 1, 2011 and since that time I have literally had FIVE recipes. Today's calendar (and tomorrow's as well just FYI) is about how to get meat from a coconut and how to toast your oatmeal. The recipes we have had have been pancakes, chicken breast with feta, celery and radish salad, butternut squash soup, cheese strata with ham and tomatoes and 30-minute turkey chili. The rest is dumb filler and each day is for at least two days (weekends are three days including Friday). I won't be buying this calendar again for sure. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: Food Network: 2011 Day-to-Day Calendar (Calendar) I agree with the previous review. I was so excited when I purchased it that I was counting down the days until January 1st so that I could use it. However, this should not be considered a day calendar. I was expecting them to be stuck together somehow and be able to peel off each day. Instead it is loose leaf and again 3 pages a week with "tips" and "recipes" that do not correlate necessarily with the day that its on. Would have liked to see relevant recipes per day or at least tips for the day that is appropriate for the season of ingredients readily available.
I do not recommend anybody to buy this calendar. |
