It's a Scandinavian tradition from my husband's family that before the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve, three calendars must be hung in the home and silver coins placed on the windowsills. The first food eaten after midnight is herring with dark rye bread. All this is to assure good health, wealth and long life. We've kept this tradition for thirty years, and have sent calendars and coins to our children to encourage them to keep the tradition. This calendar doesn't fit any of our holders, so is being given to our son and daughter-in-law who have flexible-sized calendar frames. I fell in love with this artist's three-dimensional work in Solvang, California, years ago. His calendar is exceptionally beautiful and fanciful. I wish I could have kept it!

This is a fun calendar. It's a nice big size, of decent weight paper, nice artwork, with plenty of space to write on the calendar.
Unique! Fun!,

I bought this for a gift, after receiving it I almost ordered one for myself. Beautiful creative paintings.
Makes it fun to turn the page each month and see what new fantasy awaits! Please keep making!
