I have the other books in this series dealing with chickens, pheasants, and pigeons, but I think this one is the best both in text and photo quality. I absolutely love the mini pigs. At any rate if think pigs are cool you need this book. This book takes the pigs from the mud to looking like kings. Check it out.

Who knew that pigs were extraordinary? Or that an entire book could almost be taken up with photos of the animal? This book is one in a series by the photographer-author, each focused on one animal. The color photographs are beautiful, if you have it in yourself to consider pigs beautiful creatures (and you just might, after reading this book). A description of pig breeds is included in the back and makes for useful reading while looking at the photographs, which list each breed, the sex of the animal, and the animal's name if known.

As the book contains much more than 50 percent photos, it might be considered a quick read. But take time to really observe the photos--the sleeping piglets, the curly, long-haired Mangalitzas, and the wild species of warthogs and peccaries. You just might look at your bacon differently tomorrow morning.
