Product Description
Find your new favorite book! There's Waiting for Snow in Havana, Carlos Eire’s beautiful and evocative memoir of growing up in pre-revolution Cuba. The Black Flower, Howard Bahr’s vivid novel of the Civil War. From Jeffery Toobin, the inside story of the 2000 presidential election, and from Hunter S. Thompson, a candid chronicle of the 1972 Nixon/McGovern race. Plus Classic Mark Twain, Noël Riley Fitch’s biography of Julia Child, and, for the history buff, Gates of Fire, Steven Pressfield’s ambitious novel about Spartan heroics in the Battle of Thermopylae.

While I have several sources of new books to read (and buy), the Book Lovers Calendar has been a trusted guide for several years. Because the choices are so eclectic, I find myself reading (and enjoying) books I'd never take off the shelf on my own. Turning the page every morning as the first thing I do also reminds me that there will be small treasures and surprises throughout the day if I remember to look for them.

For many years I have purchased the Scrabble Lover's Page-A-Day Calendar from Workman Publishing Co., and, as part of their policy for purchasers, have received a free E-Mail calendar which has always been the Book Lover's Calendar.
This year Workman is no longer producing the Scrabble Calendar, so I chose the Book Lover one as my purchase, and selected the Mensa Brain Teaser calendar for my E-mail choice.
I am devoted to my Calendars, and grateful to Workman Publishing for adding such bright spots to my days.
