Product Review

Excerpt - There is a lot of entertainment and also a great deal of truth in this story. We recommend it highly. PROFESSOR CARBONIC was diligently at work in his spacious laboratory, analyzing, mixing and experimenting. He had been employed for more than fifteen years in the same pursuit of happiness, in the same house, same laboratory, and attended by the same servant woman, who in her long period of service had attained the plumpness and respectability of two hundred and ninety pounds.

I downloaded this book because it was recommended to me after I downloaded some other science books. This, however, is not a book about the basics of chemistry. It is a fiction story.

2.0 out of 5 stars Nothing Advanced About This Book, November 5, 2011

Contrary to any ideas you may have gotten from the title, this book has nothing to do with "advanced chemistry." It is the fictional story about a chemistry professor who spent years to develop a particular experiment. The entire book is only a few pages long and it has no practical or correct thoughts on chemistry.

Definitely not a science text, merely a short work of fiction. Overall it's okay, just a short and quaint piece.
