One star. The 2012 calendar looks to be substantially identical to the 2011 calendar. If that means nothing to you, read on.
My husband, who enjoyed the calendar in years prior to 2011, found the 2011 Scrabble page-a-day to be a huge disappointment. The color graphics were literally the only improvement, while the list of bad features was substantial. The "trivia" questions were largely uninteresting (e.g., the font size of the large print edition. C'mon.) The tips were geared to utter novices (play parallel words where you can.) The problems were of only two painfully boring types (find the bingo play and find the 7-letter word, which by the way frequently had multiple answers but only one would be listed). None of the other clever puzzle types from previous years were included. And worst of all, the answers were on the front - in plain view while reading the question.
