This calendar is useless.
We've gotten the Page-a-Day Scrabble calendar each of the last 2 years. The whole family looks forward to solving the new puzzle every day. Not only is it fun, but the puzzles are cleverly designed to greatly improve your scrabble skills.
But for 2011 it seems Hasbro has decided to make the calendar themselves. And well, it's completely useless. Today's puzzle - How many points is this word worth? Really? Is this a calendar for 4 year olds?

I have purchased the Scrabble Box Calendar for MANY years (not always from Amazon) - but this one is a waste of paper. The answers are on the front of the page, and they are not complete answers. I enjoyed doing the puzzles every day but this year I wish I had not wasted my money on this calendar.

I don't know whose idea it was to change this calendar but it is horrible. Having the answer on the front upside down in tiny print was a big mistake. Hello, I can still see the answer even if I try not to. Also, the questions don't have answers. Like, "How many points can you score?" Well if you don't tell me the average score or the high score then it is useless and not helpful. The quality of the paper is cheap. I could careless about having it in color. The tips are ridiculous and insulting for any adult that has ever played the game. The old format and questions were much better. I wish I could get my money back. Hasbro/Mead should be shame to have their name associated with such a piece of junk.
