Comment: I had never seen a bookmark calendar until I recently came across this one at a bookstore. Each month is a new bookmark. The top portion is a calendar, and the bookmark itself can be detached from the calendar section. The calendar is probably too small (roughly 2" by 8" including the bookmark) to hang on a wall and use. However, if you detach the entire month and use it as a bookmark, then you have the calendar right in your book. I purchased this calendar mostly for the bookmarks. This one contains attractive pictures of lighthouses by Erwin W. Friese; I don't think the artist is famous, but the pictures are nice, although they lack some variety.
Overall, this calendar is a very clever idea. They're also a great buy. Single bookmarks can easily cost $3 or more, even for simple cardstock paper ones. It would make a great stocking stuffer or an inexpensive addition to a book given as a gift.
